When Joel isn't writing, you'll find him painting, catching up with friends over coffee or enjoying the stunning surrounds of Sydney, Australia. Joel has degrees in social work and divinity and is currently undertaking a PhD, looking at how church practices impact the spiritual walk of LGBT individuals.
