The Holiday Season has arrived! For most, this is the season to get together with friends, family or the family you have formed. There has been a misconception for the longest time about the beauty industry. There are some that think that it’s solely based on vanity, but that is where the misconception lies. I have always thought of it being based on the reflection of your inner beauty. I guess it all boils down to interpretation. But I choose to believe that whenever we are styling our hair, spritzing cologne or perfume, or adding a little color to our face, it’s the reflection of how we feel internally for that day!
When I first started my journey with Lancôme Cosmetics, my Regional Education Executive was training us over the “Pillars” of our fragrances. Each fragrance had an emotion attached to it. There was one for empowerment, seduction, and the most important—love. At the beginning I didn’t make the connection of how a product could convey emotion. But after working in this industry for over 10 years I have truly discovered the connecting factor of products and emotion. There have been countless times I have had someone sit in my chair for a makeover and they are overwhelmed with the day’s challenges. After pampering them with my famous European facial, they immediately relaxed, letting one problem after another go, and drifting into a state of reflection.
